About Course

PVsyst is a professional software designed for the analysis, simulation, and study of photovoltaic (PV) systems. It helps engineers and designers model solar power plants, estimate energy production, and evaluate system performance under different configurations.

What Will You Learn?

  • This training course provides a comprehensive understanding of PVsyst and its practical applications through four main modules:
  • 01. Fundamentals of the Solar System
  • Learn the essential components and principles of solar power systems, including photovoltaic modules, inverters, and electrical basics of PV installations. This module builds a strong foundation for understanding how solar systems operate and interact with the electrical grid.
  • 02. Software Interface
  • Get hands-on experience with the PVsyst interface. Learn how to:
  • Add and configure system components
  • Input temperature and irradiance data
  • Define project location and meteorological conditions
  • Navigate and utilize the main software tools effectively
  • 03. Project Design and Simulation
  • Develop real PV projects including:
  • On-grid systems (connected to the electrical network)
  • Off-grid systems (standalone PV systems with battery storage)
  • Pumping systems (solar-powered water pumping solutions)
  • You will learn how to configure, simulate, and analyze each system type to assess its performance and efficiency.
  • 04. Losses Reading and Analysis
  • Understand how to interpret PVsyst’s detailed reports and loss diagrams. Learn to identify system inefficiencies, analyze performance ratios, and produce final project reports summarizing energy yield and system performance.
  • Outcome
  • By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
  • Design complete PV systems using PVsyst
  • Perform energy yield assessments and loss analysis
  • Prepare professional simulation reports for real-world solar projects
